A practical first task for your AI agent

When comments arrive on your YouTube videos or Shorts, ask your agent to bring the available comments into your conversation. It can help draft responses while you keep control of your channel’s voice.

This workflow is for creators who manage their own YouTube channel and already use an agent that can run commands and read a persistent workspace.

Start with a read-only request

After installing SocialCli and connecting YouTube, paste this into your agent:

Show the recent comments available on my YouTube videos. Tell me which videos you checked and whether the results are complete. Draft a reply to one comment, but do not send, delete or change anything without my approval.

A missing or partial result is not proof that there are no comments. Ask your agent to explain coverage and any limits before acting.

Read, draft, approve, verify

1. Choose the channel and comments.

   Confirm which channel you want to review. Your agent retrieves available comments and identifies the video and comment for each draft.

2. Review the proposed reply.

   Check the complete text, target comment and channel. Ask for a shorter, warmer or more specific reply before approval.

3. Approve the exact response.

   Your agent shows the preview and waits for your decision. Approving one reply does not authorize unrelated changes.

4. Confirm what happened.

   The agent checks the result and tells you what it verified. If the result is uncertain, it checks the existing operation instead of sending another reply blindly.

What the conversation can look like

Illustrative example. These are fictional comments, not customer results.

Comment: “Could you show how you made the opening shot?”
Draft: “Thanks for watching! Which part of the shot would you like me to explain?”
Agent: “I have not sent this reply. Please review the exact comment and draft before approving.”

A useful draft does not need to promise another video or invent an answer. Supply the facts you want included and let the agent help with wording.

Know the limits before you start

YouTube is the currently available public platform. Access depends on the channel, granted permissions and available comments. YouTube disables comments on private videos.

SocialCli does not offer unsupported YouTube comment likes, hearts or pinning. It does not guarantee more views or engagement. Read the features and permissions for the current scope.
