From a finished file to a reviewed upload

SocialCli gives your AI agent a command-line workflow for supported YouTube uploads. Bring your finished video and the details you want to publish; the agent prepares the operation and shows you the preview.

SocialCli does not create, edit or reencode your video. The agent needs terminal access, a persistent workspace and access to the file you choose.

Provide the details once

  • The finished file or supported source the agent can access.
  • Your brand and the exact YouTube channel you manage.
  • The title, description and intended visibility.
  • Audience and other required declarations, based on the actual video.
  • If scheduling: the date, time and time zone you want.

Start with installation and your YouTube connection. Your agent checks the supported route and asks for missing details.

Ask for a preview first

Replace the bracketed fields with your own details:

Prepare [finished-video.mp4] for my YouTube channel [channel name]. Use the title [title] and description [description]. Keep it private. Ask me for any missing required declarations, then show the complete upload preview. Do not upload or schedule anything until I approve.

This is an example request, not a completed upload. A private upload still sends a video to YouTube and requires your approval.

Check the details before they go live

  1. Review the destination and file.

Make sure the preview names the correct channel and exact finished media.

  2. Read the full proposal.

Check the title, description, visibility and required declarations. If any detail changes, review the updated preview.

  3. Approve that upload.

Your agent submits the action you approved. A draft or preview alone does not publish the video.

  4. Ask for the verified result.

The agent reports the video identifier or URL when available, the observed status and any remaining checks. An uncertain result must be investigated before another upload is attempted.

Want to schedule a release?

SocialCli supports scheduling eligible, never-published private videos and new uploads, with route-specific prerequisites. Your agent checks access, calendar coverage and required evidence before proposing a schedule.

Use an exact local time and time zone, such as America/New_York, and review the resolved date and time. Scheduling makes the video public at the approved time; uploading privately alone does not.

Read the YouTube scheduling guide and current prerequisites before choosing this route.

Keep the workflow realistic

Provider limits, permissions and account eligibility still apply. SocialCli does not guarantee every feature for every channel or promise more views. Your agent should distinguish a verified result from an accepted request or a partial observation.

After publication, review comments and prepare replies using the same approval process. For help, see account setup or contact support.
